HRSD’S SEWER PIPE AND UTILITY REPLACEMENT PROJECT UPDATE
This month’s GNL meeting will feature an update from Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD) on the current status and future schedules for the sewer pipe replacement projects throughout our neighborhood. HRSD officials will also answer your questions and hear concerns. As this project is running currently with similar projects of the City of Norfolk and Virginia Natural Gas, we will also have an update on the other utility projects in our neighborhood.
Additional agenda items include a presentation by “Cook Out”, a NC-barbecue inspired restaurant proposed for 19th and Monticello Ave. (across from Doumar’s) which will offer burgers, milk shakes, BBQ, etc. via a “double drive through” and walk up concept. No indoor seating will be offered. The site is the former Cook and Neff building, which would be completely demolished according to this proposal. This proposal has not yet gone through or been approved by the City’s Design review and Planning Commission process, which will be needed to obtain City approval status.
Our meeting will also feature a presentation on a proposed new infill house on Mowbray Arch.
We hope to see you Wednesday night at 6:30pm at The Chrysler.
