Three projects are included on the prelimary agenda for the Norfolk Design Review Committee’s Jan. 23, 4 p.m., meeting in the 10th-floor conference room in City Hall:
Ghent Certificates of Appropriateness
a. 514 Colonial; addition to rear of structure
b. 840 Redgate; new construction of condominium (final)
a. 539 W. 21st Street; awning installation
The proposed condo project is the first beneficiary under an amendment to Ghent’s historic zoning, which the Ghent Neighborhood League had opposed in August. It was approved, however, by the Norfolk Planning Commission, and City Council adopted the amendment Dec. 13, 2005, along with the condo project.
