Norfolk’s Department of Neighborhood Preservation is currently accepting registrations for the Neighborhood Leadership and Education Academy this fall. Targeted at civic league members and community organizers, the program trains participants on the various functions of city government and services. The academy classes are free and light refreshments will be provided.
Final registrations will be considered on a first-come-first-served basis with priority offered to civic league members and Norfolk residents.

Participants can expect to attend a four-week program that will be taught by city officials and department staff. Upon completion of the program, participants will attend a graduation ceremony and be presented a certificate of completion.
