This mornings clean-up in Ghent was a great success with over 20 adults and children volunteering. After the clean-up we met at Beechwood Park to enjoy some Popsicles and shared ideas about future events. It was a great group with great motivation. Below are pictures, one before starting off and the other is a group photo including the collection of trash picked up.

This Saturday, Ghent resident and Hampton University Architecture Professor, Mason Andrews advises that she and architect Ray Gindroz, will be leading and coordinating five teams of Hampton University architectural and urban study students through the Ghent, to observe, sketch, pace and measure historic treasures in our Ghent neighborhood, in preparation for an upcoming trip to Europe to further their architectural study.

If you happen to see these teams out and about, please feel free to welcome them to our historic neighborhood as they continue in pursuit of their educational goals. As always, please feel free to contact me if you have any additional questions.
